Prenatal Diagnosis: The Next Step
Dr. Ronald Wapner
Welcoming back one of Philadelphia’s favorite sons, Dr. Ronald Wapner, to educate us on the state of the art of cell free DNA screening technology. This technology comes with many implications and this should lead to a stimulating and interesting talk and discussion. Dr. Wapner is director of reproductive genetics and professor at CUMC previously worked in Philadelphia for 40 years. Has done pioneering work on the development of prenatal diagnosis and screening techniques including CVS, microarray, and aneuploid screening. The talk will discuss the emerging importance of fetal sequencing in the analysis of ultrasound discovered structural anomalies.
